When a car came hurtling towards her in the high school parking lot, a mysterious boy pushed her out of the way, saving her life. I don’t care if they’re in the midst of a family crisis or have other problems or seem detached from your life. As she is lying there, he touches her stomach for some strange reason, and what with the weird moment of touching and his saving her life, she is drawn to him despite the rumors floating around school that he killed his girlfriend.
From what I’m reading, I was not the only one who though this was eerily similar to Twilight. This sometimes works in the book’s advantage as the fast pace and short length doesn’t give the reader a lot of time to question things before everything is resolved. This was an awesome book. She actually does see him again- Ben Carter, who, rumor has it, murdered his ex-girlfriend.
Stolarz delivers danger, suspense, a touch of the supernatural, quirky characters, and snappy dialogue in a could-be-near-you high school setting, for her fans, and fans of Twilight and Evermore.

He avoids her until one day in Chemistry class when he accidentally touches her – and all hell breaks loose. This is definitely a suspense novel and it totally delivers on that front.
It is revealed in lakrie that Matt, Camelia’s ex-boyfriend, is her stalker. Does it have any scary parts or stuff? I need to start a bad YA book drinking game. I loved reading about Camelia and her friends.

First, I love this cover. Camelia Hammond is an ordinary and pretty sixteen year-old girl who attends Desdly High School. In short order, she is feeling threatened and is left wondering who to trust and who to fear.
Though, like you, I had a hard time connecting with some of the secondary characters. You do not live safely between the covers of a book. On a final note, the climactic sequence and secets ending of the book felt very rushed to me, almost tacked on. Customers who bought this item also bought.
